The Makita DHP487Z 18V Li-ion Cordless Brushless Combi Drill is an efficient and powerfull drill with an impressive no load speed of 1700rpm.
Ideal for screwdriving and drilling, with or without hammer action, the combi drill boasts a brushless motor, two power settings, forward/reverse rotation, variable speed control, 20 torque settings and a maximum fastening torque of 40Nm.
Its 1.5mm to 13mm keyless chuck capacity allows for a range of drill and screwdriver bits to be used, making it extremely versatile.
The DHP487Z combi drill features a compact & lightweight design with ergonomic handle for a safe and comfortable grip. In addition, its integrated LED light proves useful when working in dark or dim conditions.
With safety in mind, the drill is equipped with an electric brake as well as electronic overload protection and a battery protection system, which automatically shuts off power when the battery level is low.
The Makita BL1830B 18V 3.0Ah Li-ion Battery is lightweight and shock-absorbing + has integrated L.E.D. battery charge level indicator lights which allow the user to monitor the battery charge level.
Makita batteries have STAR Protection built in which is the communication technology between the tool and the battery to monitor the conditions and exchange data in real time to protect against overloading, over-discharging or over-heating.
The Makita Li-ion range delivers 430% more working capacity during its lifetime compared to Ni-Cad and is 40% Lighter than Ni-MH batteries. Li-ion batteries have minimal depletion of power during use or in storage over its lifetime.
The Makita DC18SD 14.4V-18V Li-ion Standard Battery Charger uses a CPU to communicate with the battery's built in memory chip during a charge cycle, analysing the data stored in the battery chip to decide on the best charging method at that time, helping extend battery life.
In addition, it includes built in sounds to alert charging status and completion. While the DC18SD standard charger achieves slower charge times than Makita's DC18RC rapid charger, it is equally effective.
