Delta Adhesive D555 Flex Gasket Sealant 50ml Purple is a high viscosity flexible sealant that is designed to seal flanged connections that are prone to movement or vibration.
The thixotropic fluid is perfect for creating low pressure seals that can withstand oil, water and chemicals once cured.
The Gasket sealant has been formulated to maintain some flexibility after curing so that it can flex and move when vibrations shift the fitting.
The Delta D555 is a medium strength anaerobic gasket sealant that is designed to cure in a short time when it is in the absence of air between close fitting metals surfaces such as pipe fittings and gaskets for pumps.
For best results, clean all surfaces (external and internal) with Delta D406 Surface Prep Cleaner and allow solvent to evaporate.
If the material is inactive metal or the cure speed is too slow spray with Delta Anaerobic Activator D405 and allow to dry.
Flanges should be tightened as soon as possible after assembly to avoid shimming.
Ideal for use in Pumps, thermostats, compressors, transmission housing and axle covers.
