Overview

The Delta D22 Bearing Grade Adhesive 50ml Yellow is a medium viscosity anaerobic adhesive ideal for the retaining of bearings, cylindrical parts, bushes and oil seals.

The Bearing Grade Adhesive allows for a sliding fit and stops distortion from occurring during assembly.

The D22 is a high performance medium to high strength adhesive.

For best results clean all the surfaces (external and internal) with D406 Surface Prep Cleaner and allow all solvent to completely evaporate. If the material is inactive metal or the cure speed is too slow spray with Anaerobic Activator D405 and allow to dry.

When working with Slip Fitted Assemblies apply adhesive around the leading edge of the pin and the inside of the collar and use a rotating motion during assembly to ensure good coverage.

Press Fitted Assemblies require adhesive to be applied thoroughly to bond surfaces and assemble at high press on rates.

For Shrink Fitted Assemblies the adhesive should be coated onto the pin, the collar should then be heated to create sufficient clearance for free assembly.  Parts should not be disturbed until sufficient handling strength is achieved.

Disassembly should be done by applying localized heat to the assembly to approximately 250C and disassemble while hot.
