Equipped with 2 x 89mm 3.5W speakers, the radio delivers excellent stereo sound with good bass / treble balance, allowing you to enjoy DAB / DAB+ digital radio and AM / FM analog radio, as well as your own music and audio files played via Bluetooth or aux-in port from mp3 or mobile devices.
It features a large backlit LCD screen and digital tuner with 5 presets and automatic station search. The handy screen also displays battery charging status.
This durable radio from Makita has been awarded with an IP64 rating which means it is protected from dust ingress and water spray, whilst the unit’s rugged elastomer bumpers and metal pipes ensure it is protected from falls during use and transportation.
The swivel mount, soft bend antenna helps achieve great quality reception and for extra convenience it can easily be removed and stored inside the battery compartment.
In addition, the DMR301 includes two practical USB ports for charging mobile phones and comes equipped with a conveniently placed bottle opener on the back.
A fully charged Makita BL1850B 5.0Ah 18V LXT battery (not included) will provide up to 20 hours of run time. This same battery will take a mere 84 minutes charging time when radio is plugged into the mains.
The Makita DMR301 can be powered by the standard AC mains adaptor (included) or by most Makita batteries from 7.2V to 18V Li-ion in the CXT & LXT ranges but is not compatible with G-series Batteries or older Ni-CAD & Ni-MH Batteries.
