Arbortec AT4400 Breathedry Waterproof Smock

The Arbortec AT4400 Breathedry Waterproof Smock is a lightweight, technical garment designed specifically for arborists.

This AT4400/ATHV4400 smock offers complete waterproof and breathable protection, conforming to EN343 Class 3 standards. The waterproof jacket features an extended back length to effectively shed water, a high collar with a waterproof zipper, inner placket, and neck protector.

Inside the collar is a large, adjustable hood designed to fit over a climbing helmet, featuring a wired peak, bungee volume adjuster drawcord, and a large hook and loop storm flap. The sleeves are generously long with inner soft cuffs and thumb loops, secured with hook and loop tab fasteners to keep the cuffs watertight.

A large breast pocket with a waterproof zipper can hold a smartphone, while a large pouch pocket accessible via long side zippers doubles as a ventilation point with mesh panels inside. Additional ventilation is provided through concealed zippers in the armpits and an access zipper at the bottom of each side of the garment, useful when wearing a climbing harness.

The fabric's solid structure prevents water from passing through the membrane while allowing sweat to evaporate through water vapour diffusion. If the membrane becomes clogged with grease, dust, or dirt, it may leak.

The Hi-Vis Orange model of the Arbortec BreatheDry Waterproof Smock conforms to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 and GO/RT 3279 (RIS-3279-TOM) standards for high visibility, making it suitable for environments where enhanced visibility is essential.

To maintain your Arbortec smock's performance, wash it with NikWax TechWash to remove grease and grime. Then, use NikWax TX Direct to restore its waterproof properties. Follow the guidelines on the packaging for best results.
