The Makita RP001GZ02 40V Max XGT Cordless Brushless Router is a powerful machine that combines high performance cutting with effortless handling thanks to its lightweight design.

Its brushless motor provides output efficiency similar to that of corded models, and its cordless design powered by Makita 40V Max XGT batteries makes it super practical and easy to manoeuvre.

One of only three 1/2" cordless routers on the market, the RP001GZ02 features 5 speed settings with constant speed control to reduce the chance of a drop in cutting speed, even when using a 1/2" shank router bit.

It can reach no load speeds of 8,000 to 25,000 rpm and has an impressive plunge capacity of up to 60mm, with depth adjustment by 1mm increments, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

In addition, the machine allows you to effortlessly switch between cutting depths while working thanks to a 3-stage depth stop that can be pre-set to three different cutting depths. 

The cordless router's soft start and soft brake funcions prevent damage to the workpiece material due to recoil, and its lock lever enables easy depth locking for clean & even cuts.

Designed with Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT), the RP001GZ02 features a series of integrated seals that will channel away dust and moisture, helping ensure durability and a longer tool life.

The machine boasts a comfortable grip and balanced weight distribution, with ergonomic handles for additional control and a robust aluminium base for high accuracy and stability.

Twin LED lights with pre-glow and after-glow functions will keep the work area fully visible for straightforward and precise cutting, while its flat-top shaft lock design provides stability and allows for quicker and easier bit changes. 

It also features a lock-on function for comfortable continuous operation without having to hold the trigger down as well as a safety lock-off function which prevents unintentional start-up.

Part of Makita's 40V Max XGT range for exceptional cordless performance and runtime in heavy-duty applications, this cordless router can cut about 80m of 1000mm MDF on just one 40V 4.0Ah battery charge (with a 12mm straight bit at a 6mm cutting depth).

Dust extraction will keep your work area clean and clear of debris, and Auto-Start Wireless System (Optional AWS Adapter Required) allows connection to compatible dust extractors.
