It requires 40V XGT Lithium-Ion batteries and is Not compatible with LXT tools and batteries, but designed to complement them for demanding tasks.

The Makita XGT battery is more robust with enhanced impact and water resistance, and offers unique features not found in LXT batteries, including smart charging communication.

The Makita GA004GZ01 is a slide-switch angle grinder incorporating Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT), this cordless angle grinder halts the motor upon unexpected rotation stoppage, features a high speed blade brake and includes an anti-restart function to avoid accidental starts.

A soft start mechanism also facilitates further smooth operations.

This cordless angle grinder from Makita is also equipped with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) for resistance to dust and water, extending its lifespan.

In addition a battery protection system automatically cuts power at low battery levels, safeguarding the tool.

Technical details include a 40V Max nominal battery voltage and 8500 min-¹ no-load speed, with an M14 spindle thread, 22.23mm bore size, and 115mm grinding disc diameter, suitable for various heavy duty applications.

Supplied Body Only with the Makpac Case Type 4, Model 821552-6 offering an efficient storage and transport solution with dimensions of 395 x 295 x 320 mm. This robust case is designed to keep tools secure and easily portable. 

The Makita XGT charging system can fully charge 40V Max XGT batteries in as little as 28 minutes.
