The Makita BL1840B 18V 4.0Ah Li-ion battery is lightweight and shock-absorbing + has Integrated L.E.D. battery charge level indicator lights which allow the user to monitor the battery charge level.
Makita batteries have STAR Protection built in which is the communication technology between the tool and the battery to monitor the conditions and exchange data in real time to protect against overloading, over-discharging or over-heating.
